"SOAY WOOL" 100% soay lamb's wool
Soay sheep from the St. Kilda archipelago in Scotland are one of the oldest and most authentic breeds of sheep in Europe, having remained virtually unchanged for thousands of years. Bred on the harsh Atlantic islands, they are renowned for their endurance, and their wool - light, soft and naturally flowing - is prized for its unique texture, warmth and wild, raw beauty. Every strand of Soay wool tells a story of nature, freedom and the ancient traditions of wool.
The softness and texture of the yarn are similar to merino wool.
Meterage: 400m/100 g, spun from 3 strands (3/12,000), melange sage color
Manufacturer: "St. Kilda Isles", Scotland
Needle recommendation: size 3 needles
More about thread care - in the description below.
Care recommendation: After knitting, gently rinse with wool detergent or conditioner, steam the knitwear. Soay wool is naturally resistant to dirt and odors, so the knitwear does not need to be washed often - airing it out is usually enough. If necessary, wash by hand in cool (up to 30 °C) water.
